Redefining comfort, circularity, and community in the luxury textile industry.
A New Fibre from an Ancient Landscape
High in the rainfed slopes of Uttarakhand, wild perennial Himalayan grass grows untamed — resilient, regenerative, and abundant.

From this humble grass, we’ve developed HimGra, the world’s first waterless, mechanical fibre with a zero cultivation carbon footprint — a breakthrough in sustainable material science and ethical luxury.
HimGra turns what was once a naturally occurring wild resource into a climate-positive, commercially viable fibre, creating livelihoods for rural women and weavers while conserving mountain ecosystems.
The Science Behind Sustainable Comfort
HimGra’s hollow, circular fibre structure naturally regulates temperature —
keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.

This unique comfort comes without chemical processing or synthetic additives.
It blends seamlessly with cotton, viscose, silk, wool, and linen, and runs efficiently on conventional spinning and weaving machines, including high-speed rapiers.
That means luxury brands can adopt HimGra without retooling their systems — just rethinking their material choice.
Zero Water. Zero Fertilizer. Infinite Possibility.
Unlike flax or cotton, HimGra grass:

-
Grows naturally on rainfed land without irrigation, pesticides, or fertilizers.
-
Uses a mechanical, waterless fibre extraction process — eliminating water pollution.
-
Has no seed or cultivation carbon footprint, making it more climate-friendly than linen.
The result: a fibre that is not only beautiful to wear but restorative for the planet
Empowering Rural Livelihoods
Every metre of HimGra fabric creates livelihoods for two women in the hill villages of Uttarakhand and one handloom weaver.

Through Dev UK Foundation and DESCATUK — a DIPP-recognized startup — we connect sustainable fibre innovation with inclusive growth.
HimGra’s model empowers women’s self-help groups (SHGs) and weavers, bringing purpose-driven value to luxury fashion.
