SeeMe

SeeMe BV is a brand that produces 100% handmade items created by women survivors of violence, using traditional techniques for making jewellery. The product range is mainly heart-shaped jewellery and accessories. SeeMe also provides ethical sourcing for other fashion brands. 

As a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), SeeMe employs women in Tunisia who have suffered violence and exclusion and offers a livelihood and the dignity of meaningful and beautiful work instead of charity.

BaSe

BaSE is a fair trade enterprise producing various types of handmade items such as Date Palm-leaf & Jute Basketry, Jute Macramé, Nakshi Hand Embroidery, Women Clothing and Accessories, creating over 3,000 different products. They use local raw materials and their products are 100% natural, biodegradable, and recyclable.

BaSE is owned by women artisans, working with over 10,000 producers. BaSE’s artisans use their traditional skills to create their own designs and are also able to create customized products.

The company creates modern design for the global market using age-old weaving techniques. Sabahar makes scarves, shawls, kaftans, capes, towels, cushions, throws, blankets, and table linens.

Sabahar strives to create respectful, ethical and sustainable work opportunities for artisans in Ethiopia. They believe the private sector has a critical role to play in the development of a country and the betterment of its people.

Manos del Uruguay 

Manos del Uruguay is a fashion producer and brand made up, and owned, by 12 women’s producer cooperatives across Uruguay. Each of the 12 producer cooperatives that own and control Manos has around 20 women producers. Two of the cooperatives specialise in dyeing the yarn, and ten others knit or weave the products. The focus for Manos has always been high-quality hand-woven fashion items, which it sells both under its own brand and as a private label producer for brands such as Gabriela Hearst and Ulla Johnson.

Manos del Uruguay exists to serve their producers, prioritising the mission of providing livelihoods and personal development opportunities for rural women in Uruguay.

With its fashionable and high-quality collections, the label has long been able to compete with other well-known fashion labels.

People Tree actively opposes the exploitation of workers and the pollution of the environment. Only organically grown cotton and other local, natural and recycled materials are used. All garments are produced according to the WFTO Standard and are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard throughout the entire production chain.
