Approaches for circular textile and apparel industry in India (baseline assessment report)

India’s textile and apparel industry has long embraced circularity through practices like reuse, recycling, and upcycling. To build on this, GIZ and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd launched the ACTAII project under the Indo-German develoPPP programme, aiming to promote circular economy principles through guidelines, training, and innovation. A baseline study was conducted to assess the current state of circular practices and identify key challenges and opportunities for intervention.
