CO Training Credits
CO Credit - Sustainable Packaging - Coming Soon
Fashion relies on plastic and paper throughout the supply chain – from poly bags in factories and sampling, to plastic packaging for online orders and plastic carrier bags in stores. Plastic packaging is estimated to make up 26 percent of the total volume of plastics created a year, and 72 percent of this is thrown away.
It follows that sustainable packaging strategies can have a significant impact on reducing environmental impact, energy use, and waste, for businesses throughout the supply chain.
Course outcomes:
Gain an understanding of:
The environmental impact of packaging in the fashion industry, and the places where you can mitigate this through your decisions
Strategies that you can implement to reduce impact in your day to day operations, drawing from examples by leading brands
Sustainable packaging alternatives
This course is planned as part of the CO Training Credits Hub as we add to the range of courses available in response to demand from the CO Community.
