Asian Dialogues Series: The German Due Diligence Act and Consequences for Asian Producers

This recorded online seminar unpacks Germany’s Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, designed to reduce human rights violations and improve working conditions. The law entered its first enforcement phase in January 2023, with broader application from 2024.

In this second session of the “Moving the Needle” series, speakers highlight how the Act will impact Asian suppliers and introduce Initiative Global Solidarity, a GIZ programme supporting shared responsibility and cooperation between buyers and producers to meet due diligence expectations.
